United States Dog Organization :: About Us

The United States Dog Organization (also known as "USDO" or "USDogs") is an independent organization not associated with any existing registry or club as we feel this gives us greater latitude to carry on our mission.  We host Conformation Shows, Weight Pulls, Canine Good Citizen Evaluations, Fun Shows, Training Seminars, Hunts, Raffles, Bake Sales and anything else we can think of in an effort to raise money to defend the American Pit Bull Terrier and its loyal owners.

The USDO was founded by people who saw the APBT being made a scapegoat by Animal Rights Activists, the Media and Law Enforcement.  We have witnessed over and over again the lack of an organized group effort present to assist good and honest APBT owners who have been wrongly accused of various trumped up or totally fabricated animal crimes.  Very often people have been completely exonerated by Courts only to find their animals have all been destroyed or 'adopted' out to others.  Frequently this is a result of lack of funds to properly defend themselves and the other side counts on that.  We found this to be appalling and joined together to combat these supposed humane groups in their efforts to eradicate our dogs and terrorize their owners.
